FabricLoop started with a simple frustration: too many tools, not enough flow. Chat in one app, tasks in another, AI bolted on as theater. We built the workspace we wanted — Slack-style messaging with work attached, open to MCP, installable on every platform.
Ravi wrote his first business software at eleven, for his uncle's shop in London, then built a hardware business that grew to $5M in revenue while at university. In 1997 he helped build BP's first knowledge management system and one of Britain's first ecommerce sites.
In 2000 he founded Imano, which grew into one of the world's largest app agencies — offices in London, New York, and Mumbai — building early mobile apps for British Airways, KLM, Condé Nast, Harrods, Citi, Hertz, Oracle, Schwab, and UEFA, and reaching #1 in the App Store across more than 20 countries. He also built TVGuide.co.uk into the UK's #1 TV listings platform. Both companies were acquired.
In 2009 he founded Acrossair and built Nearest Tube, one of the first augmented reality apps on iOS — exhibited at MoMA and covered by MIT Technology Review and the BBC. He moved to California in 2011 and has since worked across AI, hardware, connected fitness, financial systems, and health. FabricLoop is the workspace he wanted to use himself.
