Announcements, reactions, events with reactions and comments, and birthdays — without burying them in chat.
Publish a news story with text, images, or video so the whole team can see it.
Use reactions and comments so announcements get feedback without starting a new channel thread.
Add an event with a time and place so it shows on the shared schedule.
Open the event and react or comment so the organiser knows you can come.
Birthdays from profiles surface automatically so the team can celebrate.
Use News for announcements that should stay findable; use chat for discussion.
